"Haiku is for girls," teacher said,
huffing in deep sighs of logic.
A thoughtful boy in the back
raised his hand.
"I beg to differ," he said.
"That is because you are a girl,"
teacher said.

“Science is for girls,” teacher said,
stroking at his mothball beard.
A thoughtful girl in the back
Scratched her head.
"You have no grounds for that," she said.
"Spoken like Einstein,"
teacher said.
